Die Mechanik ist vielschichtig, aber fair, und die Bosskämpfe regen tatsächlich zum Nachdenken an, anstatt nur Knöpfe zu drücken. Ich erinnere mich an eine Phase, in der wir uns in zwei Gruppen aufteilen und das Timing zonenübergreifend koordinieren mussten – es war angespannt, aber absolut befriedigend, als wir es geschafft haben. Dann gibt es noch den Prozess „The Abyssal Fracture“. Es ist brutal, aber das Design ist straff. Kein Füllmaterial – jeder Kampf hat ein klares Ziel und eine klare Belohnung. Und Aloalo Island? Diese Dungeonvariante macht unheimlich viel Spaß. Die Beute ist anständig und die tropische Ästhetik der Karte bricht die übliche düstere Fantasy-Atmosphäre auf. Außerdem bietet Ihnen die Karte „Kristalliner Konflikt von Red Sands“ etwas zu tun zwischen den Hauptquests – nicht bahnbrechend, aber schön zu haben.

The not-so-good

Look, if you’re not already invested in FFXIV, this update won’t convince you. It’s not a standalone game - it’s a patch for a game that’s already 100+ hours long. And while the new dungeons are solid, they don’t break any new ground. The Lunar Subterrane is okay, but it feels like a rehash of earlier content with slightly different visuals. Also, the whole thing assumes you’ve got a stable internet connection and time to grind gear. If you’re short on both, you’ll feel left behind fast. And let’s be honest - the PS4 version still has frame drops during big fights. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s annoying when you’re trying to focus.
