The good stuff

What surprised me was how clean the interface was. No flashy animations, no clutter. Just a calendar where past cycles are marked, upcoming ovulation dates show up in yellow, and it even flags the best and worst fertility days. I actually used that to plan something around conception - not guaranteed, but at least I wasn’t guessing blindly. And the lunar calendar? Yeah, it’s quirky, but it’s kind of fun. I started noticing patterns between full moons and bloating, not that I believe it’s scientific, but it’s nice to have a little extra context. The app runs quietly in the background, doesn’t eat resources, and the data stays local - big win for privacy.

The not-so-good

It’s not exactly packed with bells and whistles. No symptom logging beyond a basic note field, no reminders unless you manually set them, and no export options for your data. If you’re someone who wants to share info with a doctor or track mood swings over time, this isn’t going to cut it. Also, the developer is unknown - which isn’t a dealbreaker since it’s free and open-source-ish, but still makes me pause a bit. And honestly, it feels a little dated. The design hasn’t aged well, and there’s zero mobile sync. If you use both phone and PC, this won’t work as a single source of truth.

If you’re on Windows, don’t need fancy features, and just want a no-frills way to track your cycle and see when ovulation might be happening, Woca - Download for Windows is fine. It’s free, it works, and it doesn’t try to sell you anything. But if you want reminders, data exports, or cross-device sync, look elsewhere. There are better apps out there - but for a quick, lightweight option that doesn’t cost a thing, it gets the job done. Try it, but don’t expect miracles.
