One of them has this phase where the ground literally shifts under your feet, which is wild. I’d be standing on a platform, and suddenly it tilts sideways while I’m mid-dodge. That kind of chaos is the spirit of Elden Ring, and it’s awesome here. Also, the Day Three Bosses? Yeah, they’re brutal. But in a good way. Not unfair, just demanding focus. And that new Shifting Earth element isn’t just flavor-it changes how you move through areas. You’ll need to relearn old routes, which is honestly refreshing after so many games that just repeat the same map layout.

The not-so-good

It’s definitely not for everyone. If you’re only playing for story or casual exploration, this might feel like too much effort. The difficulty ramps up fast, and there’s no hand-holding. Also, the Deluxe Edition extras-artbook and mini soundtrack-are nice, but honestly, they’re just digital fluff. I didn’t miss them, and I doubt most players will either. And yeah, it’s coming in December 2025, so if you’re looking for something now, you’re out of luck. No early access, no beta. Just wait. That’s a bummer if you’re the type who wants to jump in ASAP.
