The not-so-good

Here’s the catch: if you don’t have any Korean contacts, this app might feel kinda pointless. The interface is clean, sure, but most of the content and community features are tailored for users in South Korea. And while the call quality is decent, I’ve noticed some audio glitches when calling outside of major cities-maybe network issues, maybe just the app not optimized globally.

Also, the lack of clear info about the developer or license feels off. It’s not a big red flag, but it’s weird for a free app with millions of downloads. I’d be more comfortable if there was a bit more transparency. And if you're used to iMessage’s integration with Apple’s ecosystem, KakaoTalk doesn’t play nice with native notifications. You’ll need to check it manually sometimes.
